£100,000 Earmarked for Road Surfacing!

The three City Councillors here in Wednesfield North have been nagging away at the City Council about the state of the road surface in Griffith Drive, on Ashmore Park. It is in a pretty poor state, battered and showing the wear and tear of the huge use it has.

All through the year we have been making our views known to the Highways Department on City of Wolverhampton Council.

The Good News is that we have now influenced the Authority to place £100,000 into the Transportation Capital Programme budget that will be in operation for 2020-2021.

This will be a welcome bit of attention to the road surface. Those that follow me will know that the Authority is already strapped for cash due to Covid-19, and the fact that there is a very much reduced income stream into the City. Therefore the £100,000 investment here will be very welcome in the circumstances.

Keep following my Social Media blogs and learn about what is taking place here in Wednesfield North Ward on a daily basis.
