2017 – A ‘Severe & Bloody’ Year?!

Now we all know that politics in the next year (2017) is likely to be severe and very bloody.

Whilst the Labour Party nationally is still sorting itself out. The Government Party (the Conservatives)  have quickly arranged their target seats, and The Prime Minister Theresa May has Wolverhampton in her sights! As well as the rest of the Black Country.

It has been published and talked about in some political circles that applications closed at the end of October for several campaign manager jobs advertised by the Conservative Party.

But pundits think that the interesting issue about these jobs was their location: Birmingham, the Black Country, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield.

This is what is seen as Labour territory.

So for those Labour Party members here in Wednesfield North we have our warning.

My view is that Labour Councillors in Wolverhampton have a front line role, in this coming battle. as they will have in Birmingham and the Black Country.

We must be  active in our Wards, not dodging issues, informing and communicating our plans and our actions. But most of all we really do need to be visible and seen to be doing a great job for our communities.

Gird your loins Labour Party Members –

2017 is going to be a very hard year!
