Councillor Phil Bateman said today these are the very latest statistics that I have been briefed with, regarding the infection rates here in the City of Wolverhampton.
Latest figures shows there were 307 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people in Wolverhampton over the seven days to 9 November. That means that nearly 810 people in the city tested positive for the virus in the same seven-day period – although the true number of new cases will be higher.
As part of our ongoing work to protect and support Wolverhampton’s most vulnerable residents, we have teamed up with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) this week to write to nearly 10,000 people in city who are classed as clinically extremely vulnerable, outlining the steps they should take to keep themselves safe at this time.”
