A New Parliamentary Constituency of Wednesfield & Willenhall Is Proposed!

bce_logo-boundary-commissionThe Parliamentary Boundary Commission has announced plans to reform our Parliamentary Constituency Boundaries of Wolverhampton North East. Wolverhampton North East will be wiped away, and the new proposals will see a new Constituency formed with the title of Wednesfield & Willenhall.

These are only proposals but the new Constituency would have at its core the following current Wards. Three from Walsall – Short Heath; Willenhall North; and Willenhall South; Plus the current Wolverhampton Wards of Bushbury South and Low Hill;Fallings Park; Heath Town. New and added into this new Constituency will be the Wolverhampton Wards of St Peter’s, which takes in part of Wolverhampton City Centre.

It will be the first time ever that Wednesfield will have been placed on the Parliamentary Map.

These are initial plans and there will be a lot of analysis taking place over the next few weeks. I will keep you updated on my thoughts.
