Councillor Phil Bateman said ” This piece of play equipment has been attacked, I for the life of me cannot understand why this should happen. I reported the matter to both the City Council and the Police.
The City Councils Environmental team says “This piece of natural play equipment, fun for the children to run around and to challenge their balancing skills on the variable height wooden stumps, has unfortunately succumb to thoughtless vandalism.
This will be put right over the coming days but it’s an expense we would rather do without.”
I have also reported the matter to the Local Police team, I have asked if the nearby cctv stretched and covered this far?
I am sure Ashmore Park families are as dismayed as I am about this vandalism. Your three Councillors are always working hard looking to identify resources that can enhance the Park.
If you know who was responsible, I do hope you will inform the Police.
