Canal boat Flotilla to Land In Wednesfield!

Explorer Canal Cruises are bringing 21 Narrowboats to Wednesfield Bentley Bridge on Wednesday 13 th May, and they will overnight at Bentley Bridge, leaving on the morning of the 14th May. This is a great tourist event for Wednesfield. It is by far the largest flotilla of Narrow Boats ever over staying  in Wednesfield.

I would like to urge our residents to give these tourists a very warm welcome.

I know that several Public Houses in Wednesfield including the The Boat, and the Dog & Partridge, are keen to welcome the visitors into their hostelry’s. This should be a real great photographic opportunity, and will I am sure  add more than a ‘splash’ of colour to this wonderful old Wyrley & Essington canal.

The Press and media would be more than welcome! Contact me on email@philbateman.com
