Wednesfield Closure from the 7th November through to the 9th December 2016
Also being Closed is the Pinfold Bridge in Wednesfield, (also known locally as Gregory’s Bridge) Pinfold Bridge, Lichfield Road Wednesfield.
This work on the bridge will close the canal, and the towpath, as well as closing road access over the bridge. There will be a diversion for road traffic including buses and pedestrian traffic for the canal and road closure. Further information will be made available from the City Council closer to the date of closure……..
The closure will be from 07/11/2016 – 09/12/2016.
The CRT inform that the towpath is also closed; Wolverhampton City Council have requested a four week stoppage as they repair and strengthen the road bridge over the canal.
The Canal & River Trust have recently announced that there will also be a closure to the Wyrley & Essington canal at the Aqueduct at Pratt Mills in Walsall from the 1st November through to the 31st January 2017.
