Car Park Raj Kumar Drive to be Improved.

In early August I wrote again to Wolverhampton Homes, with regards to the car park that sits next to the Baptist Church on Raj Kumar Drive. I wrote to Wolverhampton Homes who owns the asset, pointing out the poor condition of the Car Park. The pitted surface, the pot holes, the displaced concrete bollards that are a health and safety hazard to vehicles and pedestrians alike.

I am pleased to report that I have had a positive response. I am informed that “In relation to your enquiry below, the team received acceptable quotes from our contractors, and the Purchase order is currently going through the system.

Once completed, the team will arrange a start date. Arrangements will then be made for shutting off the car park so that the work can be carried out. The team will not only be replacing the damaged surfacing, but also installing some new drainage in parts of the car park, as it’s obviously needed.”

I have over a period of time, along with Cllr Potter and Cllr Mary Bateman, raised this car park and the drainage . We are all pleased that the work will be commencing soon. The car park is a tremendous asset to the shops and the customers that use it for trading purposes.

Its is really very good news .
