A letter is to be circulated to businesses and residents providing an update on the essential repair works to Pinfold Bridge on Lichfield Road in Wednesfield. The bridge was originally due to be closed to everyone for the duration of the works. The public have told the City Council that they are concerned about their security on a pedestrian diversion route through Wednesfield Park, and local businesses have told us that they are concerned about the impact that that the works will have on their pre-Christmas trade.
City of Wolverhampton Council has listened to these concerns and has put measures in place to address them while the bridge undergoes these essential repairs. The new measures will allow vehicles to continue using the bridge until after Christmas, and will maintain pedestrian access throughout the works. The repairs will take around 21 weeks, and will start on Wednesday 30th November 2016 as planned.
