Recently I wrote to City Council asking if they can confirm recent transactions relating to the sale of car parks on Ashmore Park. I have had a response which states that “I can confirm that a garage site in the area was recently sold at the CP Bigwood on the 30th April 2015.
The surplus former garage site located behind 30 – 36 Bargery Road (potentially considered suitable for 1-2 residential housing plots) was sold and achieved a capital receipt, for the City Council.”
I also asked about the future of the Parker Road site adjacent to Anslow Gardens the response was ” With regard to the garage site at Anslow Gardens having checked our records, although the asset was provisionally marketed previously, this site is currently considered well used by Wolverhampton Homes tenants and as such does not feature in our 5 year disposals programme.”
There are other sites in Wednesfield North as we move forward that will be declared as being surplus, its inevitable as the Government continues to press local government to sell their assets. I will try and keep the information open to public view via this site
