Awards Evening for Stars of Health and Care
The Festival of St Luke Celebration & Award Ceremony for Stars of Health and Care in Wolverhampton. October 21st in St John’s Church.This event took place last night.

I had a fabulous night with the Deputy Mayoress at the Church where we were guests at the Award Ceremony for Stars of Health and Care. There were eight awards being presented, five entertainment spots from local young people including Bhangra Dancing, Drumming and Bollywood Dancing.
The Awards were for Stars within Social Care
Stars within the Hospital Trust
Stars within Mental Health and Learning Disability Service
Stars within General Practice
Stars within the Voluntary Sector
Stars within the Primary Care Trust
Councillor Phil Bateman Deputy Mayor said “In presenting the Stars for Social Care Awards to the Carers Support Team I want to congratulate you. There are thousands of Carers who look after relatives who have disability, mental illness or need help because of the effects of getting older. They perform essential role's and one that we need to support and value.
Carers have told the judging panel... that the Carers Support Team is brilliant at supporting them.
They have also told the judges about the dedication and commitment of members of the team, and the depth of understanding that the team have for the needs of carers. They have also told the panel how much they value the support they get from other Carers in the Carer Groups.
They have also spoke of the work of the Carer Support Team that has helped them to survive and to feel that they are not alone.”
