The Daily Mail Exposes Weird Tory Views

The Daily Mail are today running with a story about a Conservative Councillor who is wanting compulsory sterilisation! Now I know there are some extreme views that are in the Conservative Party. But this seems to be up there with the best of them!
This particular Tory councillor has claimed that there should be compulsory sterilisation for parents on benefits. Councillor John Ward prompted comparisons with Adolf Hitler and calls for his resignation after attacking "professional spongers" who he claims "breed for greed". He has removed the original comments from his website blog and said he was sorry if he caused any problems.

What a situation, I hope that this sort of thought does not start to move through the ranks of local Conservative here. This Medway Councillor is downright offensive with his further comments which stated and I quote The Daily Mail story direct -"I think there is an increasingly strong case for compulsory sterilisation of all those who have had a second (or third, or whatever) child while living off state handouts.

"It would clearly take a lot of social pressures off all concerned, thus protecting the youngsters themselves to some degree, and remove the incentive to 'breed for greed' - i.e. for more public subsidy of their lifestyle (a well-known dodge, worth ever greater amounts to countless thousands of professional spongers). "With over-population being the root cause of so much that negatively impacts Planet Earth, the very last thing the world needs is to encourage excessive breeding."

Now I as a Wolverhampton City Councillor am very much against this sort of vile invective. I would hope that the Conservative Party would be leading some kind of Inquiry into how a man like this can espouse such a 'Hitler type' policy? I do hope some one locally here will denounce him and call for the removal of his Conservative Party membership.
