This Caused A Bit Of A Stink!

First call of the day. Highway gutter and drains maintenance has caused a bit of a 'stink' having emptied the drains in Peach road they then for whatever reason 'didn't shut a valve off' . The result is that the content is regurgitated across the junction of Gandy/Damson/Peach road, leaving not only leaves and old cans , but a fouls stench to go with it!

Residents soon contacted me and at 9.15am I had spoken with Highways and street cleaning. I am informed that a road sweeper will be sent out to clean up the mess and a investigation will be held to find out what caused this action to take place.

I think residents will be pleased with regard to the swift action that has been taken to remedy the problem.
