Coppice High - Hitting All The Right Notes!
Mary and I enjoyed Coppice Performing Arts School and the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marine Scotland show that was at the Civic Hall on Tuesday 15th April.
The Show was sponsored by Bilston & Willenhall Lions Club, the music and the choir plus the choice of music was superb.
Over the last 12 months students from Coppice have been working with the Royal Marines on various projects. These have included a funded visit to the Royal Albert Hall for the Massed Bands Concert, a 'Marine' training day in school, a dayfull of adventure at the West Midlands Ski Centre in March and they are also to take part in a 5 day week at Lympstone Commando Training Camp in October this year.
The concert was brilliant and the children who took part including St Peters School, and the Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra were so good. We both thoroughly enjoyed the evening
I thought that Georgia Evans in a solo performance backed by the 'teen queens' was simply fantastic. I want to congratulate the school on once again hitting all the right notes and making both Wednesfield & Wolverhampton so very proud of them!
