Single Status is a controversial and very important piece of machinary for local government. In Wolverhampton and if the proposed model is agreed, we know that around 50% of workers will gain from the proposed package and 29% will stay the same. Twenty one per cent will require protection and 10% will ultimately lose pay after a pay protection period.

As the workforce moves to vote on this agreement, what is your view on the outcome?

Ensure that you speak with your Trade Union, the agreement being sought has yet to be ratified. Negotiations between the Employers and the Trade Union have been taking place for a very long time. This agreement and the ratification being sought will determine the outcome and the arrangements will follow.
