City of Wolverhampton – Here is the latest data that has been presented to me for information.
Latest data shows there were 326.2 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people in Wolverhampton for the week leading up to 21 November.
That means 858 people in the city tested positive for the virus during that seven day period – although the true number of new cases will likely be considerably higher.
Over the past few days we have seen a drop in the numbers of cases which demonstrates a flattening of the curve in the city. This is likely to be due to the impact of lockdown restrictions combined with our effective testing strategy.
However, rates in the city remain high.
On Thursday 26th November – we expect to hear what tier of local restrictions the city will be placed in once the lockdown ends on 2 December.
