Latest from Brussels Sion Simon MEP and Staff Safe!

Many of us here in Wednesfield will have been following the news of the bombing of Brussels Airport and Metro System. The images of fear on the TV screens is of course horrific.
Luckily I have heard from our own MEP Sion Simon who re-assures me, and his own friends and colleagues that he is safe . This is what he told me this morning
“Hi Phil. Just to say that my team here in Brussels are all fine. I walked into the parliament this morning a couple of miles across the city centre and the city is certainly shutting down.
I was due to host an event this morning on the safety of healthcare workers from the dangers of cytotoxic drugs, which had expert speakers due to fly in from across Europe this morning. So that’s obviously had to be cancelled.
But our thoughts of course are with the families of those have been killed and injured.”
I know that everyone here in Wednesfield will want him and his staff, to stay safe and be safe.
Sion  recently visited the Ashmore Park Nursery School.
