Yesterday I attended the City Councils Audit Committee of which I am a Member. The main item on the Agenda was the Main Audit Letter from the City Councils ‘Outside Auditors’. The purpose of the report is to look at issues which are the most significant for the Authority.
By and large even though the City Council is facing a very tough challenge around resources and finance, the Auditors did not give an unfavourable report.
Today I am meeting with the Chief Executive of The Clinical Commissioning Group here in Wolverhampton, following criticism that I have made with regard to resources they administer being unused in Wolverhampton, and then being transferred to be used in other areas like Staffordshire…..I think it may be an interesting meeting!
This is followed by the Full City Council Meeting which all three of your City Councillors will be present.
