On Monday 13th March- Wolverhampton City Council open our brand new Customer Service Centre on the ground floor of the Civic Centre as well as reopening the front entrance to the building.
This is a major milestone in the FutureSpace programme and marks the completion of Phase One.
Mr Keith Ireland the Managing Director has recently briefed Councillors by saying “The new centre will give the right first impression to our visitors and provide a first class customer experience.
No longer will we require the public to understand how the council works when they come into the building by expecting them to find different receptions – all enquiries will be dealt with in this one area.”
I know that there has been and will continue to be , criticism of the Civic Centre refurbishment. But there is huge public benefit in making the building more user friendly and safer for staff and visitors.
