Woodend School seems to have all the arrangements ‘just right’ as they ready to move into their new school that is currently being built. They now have the inspiration that they have achieved a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted for the education that they are delivering to their pupils.
This is what the Head teacher Diane Blower has to say in her latest message to parents. “Well done to all of the staff and children on their grading of ‘Good’ in Ofsted. We now feel ready to take on the challenge of even further improvement with a new school and (in the end!) better learning environment.”
With that good news now public the new schools construction can be seen taking place at pace.
Mrs Blower had this to say about the construction. “It is pleasing to see how well the new school building is going. Our weekly meetings with the builder have identified that the work is on schedule and will be ready for occupancy at the end of October.”
So a new school will soon be open in Wednesfield North and I am sure that this fine new building will be most welcome by potential parents and pupils. Everyone is keen to see the final building and what it will look like, including me!
October is not that far away, so I am sure our patience will rewarded.
On a rather sadder and sourer note to report. I am still getting complaints about parents parking their cars on grass verges and being thoughtless when parking and waiting for pupils to either be picked up or dropped off. Please think of others and the safety of everyone if you use your car for the school run.
