Peach Road Wyvern Park – Parking Request

I have been recently approached by a resident in Peach Road concerning the car parking in the street, and the two car parks that are gated off by the Wolverhampton Homes who own them.

The resident asked me if the car parks could be brought back into general use to relieve the pressure on the Road parking.

I have been in touch with Wolverhampton Homes who are  currently undergoing a review of all land across the city which could be suitable for housing development, Peach Road sites have been identified as suitable sites, large enough to accommodate a number of homes.

The Wolverhampton Homes team are at this very early stage in the process. They have a number of internal tests that have to be passed before, they inform the City Council and can confirm the sites will go ahead and be listed for development.

Once they have that internal approval they will of course be consulting with all concerned parties.

The parking issues I have raised following the residents request, have led to WH telling me “they will be taken into consideration if and when the planning application is submitted”.

Further to this issue is the fact that Wolverhampton Homes tenants also live within the Road.

The Wolverhampton Homes Estate Manager for the area Sharon Henry will visit the estate and Wolverhampton Homes tenants. She will be dropping off leaflets about the ‘tenant buy in scheme’ for droppedEQaUgvNs_reasonably_small Wolverhampton Homes logo kerb and hard standings.

This is only available to WH tenants however, all private owners will have to make their own arrangement if they want to increase the area on their frontages for parking.

I will of course keep residents informed through my social media pages of any further information, as it becomes available.
