Pellet Guns – Use Them Lawfully – Not for Targeting Wildlife….or People!

The use of Pellet Guns for the wrong targets is very concerning. Over the last 9 months I have received complaints from four individuals about attacks on wild life along the canal, and the firing of guns in back gardens, aimed at wildlife & fences, this is of course a very dangerous practice in our sort of Urban Environment. Plus I am just hearing of a person that has been hit by a pellet here on Ashmore Park in the last week.

Obviously the Police have been informed of all these cases, but it is illegal to be firing a pellet gun at most birds and wild animals here in the UK.

There is a very important message here to owners of such weapons. Please you have a responsibility to ensure that you use these weapons legally and safely. If you don’t ….then perhaps you may just feel the full weight of the law.

Wild fowl on the canal bank have been reported as being the target for illegal shooting.

If you are a Wednesfield North resident, and you have evidence that relates to the illegal use of Pellet Guns, please inform the Police or you can always inform me and I will of course report the matter.
