The latest information that I have about the Vaccination station at The Hub at Ashmore Park, here in Wednesfield is indeed looking good. I am pleased to inform residents of Wednesfield North and the City of Wolverhampton that on –
Saturday December 18th there were 174 persons who presented for Covid Vaccination
Sunday December 19th there were 90 persons who presented for Covid Vaccination
Monday December 20th there were 104 persons who presented for Covid Vaccination
Tuesday December 21th there were 77 persons who presented for Covid Vaccination
By the time you finish reading this article tonight, there will be well over 500 persons that will have been vaccinated at our Local Hub here at Ashmore Park.
Councillor Phil Bateman MBE went onto say “This community building has been a fantastic resource for Wednesfield North since it opened in 2014. It’s been used for all sorts of events, and by all sorts of organisations. But it cannot have ever been envisaged doing the vital work it is doing now. It’s been a Covid testing station in 2020 and 2021. Now it is a vaccination station. Providing valuable defence against the pandemic that’s sweeping the UK.
I hope residents will note that whilst there has already been 445 people that have received their Jabs here in 4 days. What I am sure will come as a shock is that approximately I in every % are being vaccinated for the first time!
So its pleasing to note that many of the people coming forward to have their booster jabs There are still residents of Ashmore Park who are just starting out on their journey!
My message to my electors and the residents I endeavour to represent is this one. Please come forward and start the process of attending the Hub, and get your Jabs. It is a pretty swift service, just turn up on the days it is opened until December 23rd.
You know by the end of tonight we will be delivering this result to my area, and I am confidently told it is likely to have vaccinations to over 500 persons.
Finally, I am not asking you to do something I haven’t done myself. I have had both Vaccinations and the Booster, as has Mary and Rita. All three of your Councillors have taken the treatment.”
