The Post Office at Lower Prestwood Road Woodend Wednesfield was recently closed with out warning, and the shop is now not trading.
I have contacted the Post Office to find out what is happening with the shop, and I have asked if the Post Office is to open again at this location
. It was not so long ago we were as City Councillors sent letters explaining how we were to see new investment taking place in this shop.
However this good news did not happen!
The shop was closed a couple of weeks ago now, without any information being shared with Councillors. The Community obviously wants to know what is taking place here. The loss of the Post Office is a blow to local business and to Local Pensioners, who use the shop to collect their pensions.
I have asked Post Offices bosses, if they plan to continue offering their business at this location into the future. I will of course keep residents updated on this issue, as and when I receive the information from Post Office bosses.
