COUNCILLOR PETER BILSON

Rest In Peace -Cllr Peter Bilson, Deputy Leader City of Wolverhampton

Today Mary and I learnt that we had lost a friend. The City of Wolverhampton has lost a champion with the passing of Councillor Peter Bilson.

I have known Peter for all of my political life, we shared car driving duties from around 1979 to the now former County Labour Party Meetings on a Sunday in Birmingham.

He was a young fireman in those days, he was also involved in amateur dramatics.

He was a very strong advocate for the City of Wolverhampton.

In all his years he gave to politics. He did so with verve and energy. His family will I know be very proud of his activities, as we all should be. Peter gave his time, to make our City better,

He believed in the Labour Party and the Labour Movement. Both Mary and I are very pleased to have known him. We wish our deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife Nicky, his family and his friends.

You have been a great Warrior for our Party,Our City, and for the people you loved and lived within.

Its time to Rest In Peace Peter Bilson – you have more than played your part in making this life a better place for all of us.
