Its ‘Good News’ that all the pressure placed on Severn Trent Water Company following their week long failure with Water distribution in Wednesfield and Wolverhampton, at the end of May, is resulting in the company, offering compensation for its failure to its customers. I do hope STW get the compensation figures correct first time! It would be a real downer, if customers were left haggling with the company over the levels of payment they are entitled too and then being offered.

What has taken place since the distribution was mitigated, is that i have continued to argue about the incident itself. The Water Company insisted that it was a water distribution issue. When we all know that it was a Public Health issue.

Many of you who contacted me spoke of the Covid 19 issue of needing to wash hands, and clothes. Specially those of you who were key workers and needed uniforms being washed after shifts in Care Homes and Local Hospitals. Finding no water was stressful, and unacceptable.

I have been sharing correspondence on this issue, and speaking with the City of Wolverhampton Legal Team and the Public Health Director. Just because the drinking water issue as eased, it has not meant that the matter has been forgotten!

All through the crisis I commented and linked with you the residents. I managed to contact after the first day or so of the loss of water pressure, with a senior employee in the Company. I had explained that the communications between the company and the customers was indeed dire. I used my Social Media sites to keep you informed.

Now the compensation claims are being offered! Please get the payments right first time of asking Severn Trent! You owe my residents that at the very least!

I have written to Severn Trent Water Company asking them as to how they have come about making their compensation policy in the WV11 WV12 postal districts. I have asked them in a Public Health Pandemic to think again about compensating their customers. NOW CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE!
