Today We Pay Tribute Councillor Peter Bilson

Today Cllr Peter Bilson is laid to rest.

Peter gave almost 40 years of his life in service to the City of Wolverhampton and his Ward of Low Hill. He was Deputy Leader of the City Council and was also a former Mayor.

He was a good man, who helped others. The World was a better place because of Peter and his actions, as Wolverhampton was.

Mary and I will pay our tributes to him at his Funeral today. Rest In Peace Peter, you played more than your part in this hectic, sometimes cruel World we live in. Our Deepest Sympathy and Condolences go to his wife Nicky, his children and family and friends.

Its going to be a difficult day. But I shall spend it remembering all the good times we had, his great sense of humour, the car journeys we shared as long ago as the late 70’s,his witty speeches, sometimes long, most times longer! His great passion for the Wolves, and his love for his family. It’s going to be a very sad day.
