Tow Path Use During Covid-19

Use of the Towpaths
The Government has extended the lockdown period for three more weeks, therefore Canal and River Trust continue to urge people to limit their use of the towpaths and to adhere to social distancing guidance.

Please stay local if you do venture out and strictly keep your distance from other people and moored boats.

Canal and River Trust advise – If you cycle, remember pedestrians have priority, so be ready to slow down, let people pass in single file or consider an alternative route away from the towpath with traffic on most roads now much reduced.

So folks if you use The wyrley and Essington Canal here in Wednesfield….Please take note of this Guidance.
