Traveller Incursion onto the Green Open space off Kitchen Lane Ashmore Park Wednesfield.
There is a large group of caravans and vehicles around 25 Caravans and a similar number of other vehicles that made camp last night on City Council owned land. I have been up and spoke with them early this morning, and I have been back later this morning with Environmental Health Officers where we spoke with West Midlands Police on site.
I will be appealing to West Midlands Police to move this group on as quick as the law allows.
They are not part of the bigger group in Essington, they tell me that they didn’t know about the funeral. They also told me this morning that they are not ‘Travellers’. Most of the vehicles if not all the vehicles have Irish number plates.
I will continue to keep you informed of developments when I receive information.
