The Black Country-based Wedge galvanizing group has seen profits more than double as it benefited from ‘buoyant’ trading across the UK and USA.

Edward Howell in Wednesfield, is part of the Willenhall-based Wedge Group

The company employs more than 1,000 people at its 14 sites across the UK, including Edward Howell in Wednesfield and the core business at Willenhall where founder John Wedge started galvanizing in 1869, as well as in the US and Continental Europe.

The Express and Star are reporting that Wednesfield company employing over 1,000 workers, has had a successful year. Clearly they are an important manufacturing outlet with a world wide business.

Its a company that brings not only jobs to Wednesfield but overseas exposure. I wish them well going forward, maybe they will be soon in a position to increase their workforce again.

Well done Wedge Groupexpress_and_star.
