Now here is a couple of messages that relate to Wednesfield in Bloom.
We are asking that those residents who would like to make a contribution to our attempts to persuade the Heart of England in Bloom Judges, that we are serious about making a ‘Big Blooming’ difference to Wednesfield.
Last year we asked for residents to take part in the competition, by bringing to our attention their front gardens, and how they had tended them. Many residents took part and received their certificate’s ‘of taking part’ at a ceremony later in the year.
We are again going to look for those residents who want to take part in the ‘Front Gardens in Bloom 2018’ as part of our ‘Wednesfield in Bloom’ bid.
So if you are willing to let me know via my social media sites (Direct Message Me Now!) or contact me via my email address – which is email@example.com.
Please get in touch now!
It was a great response last year, and I am hoping that it will be a great response this year.
Also if you are willing to donate a plant/ or plants then please again contact me. We have started planting the big planter at the corner of the Alfred Squire and High St in the centre of Wednesfield, and if I say so myself it is coming on a treat.
This year we are going to have a ‘theme’ for this Wednesfield planter. It is going to be principally Purple – White and Green. These are the colours of the Women’s Suffragette Movement who are celebrating their 100 years anniversary this year.
Ashmore Park Information
Finally for your information. I am hoping to set and plant the raised flower Beds on Ashmore Park Shopping Parade. They can be seen lying empty and desolate at the moment. Hopefully on June 1st the planters will have had some new compost that I have arranged. This will freshen the soil. I will be then looking to local residents and the traders on the shopping parade and anyone else who wants to turn ‘ grey to green’, to help and volunteer to keep the flower beds growing and attractive to the shopping parade…..
