Wyrley & Essington Canal – Unsightly Container Gone!

IMG_20160811_194627 Dog Pooh Linthouse Lane Canal bridge towpathI was asked to get rid of an unsightly metal container that was located just off the canal tow path on the Wyrley & Essington canal, at the Linthouse Bridge. Dog walkers had filled the container with bags of Dog Pooh. It was unpleasant and nasty , and was causing much conversation locally.

I contacted the Canal & River Trust about the state of the container, and I requested its removal.

I am pleased to inform residents, and users of the tow -path in this area, that CRT has indeed removed the receptacle. Plus the nasty smelling pooh it contained.

The_Big_Scoop_-_Bag_it__Bin_itNow the container has gone, can I make a plea to dog owners. Please take your  dog pooh home. Don’t leave it hanging about!
