It is a ‘photo finish’ – is the prediction. All the more reason for Labour supporters to know that their vote really does matter!

 

WMCA mayoral race poll suggests ‘photo finish’
An online survey of almost 1,500 Birmingham Mail readers on May Day found Labour’s Sion Simon slightly ahead of Conservative Andy Street in the race become mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority, with 36.5% of the vote compared to 34.8%. Simon was also slightly ahead after second preference votes were counted, with 52.25% compared to Mr Street’s 47.75%. Support for UKIP’s Pete Durnell came in at 8.5%, Lib Dem Beverley Nielsen 8.1%, the Greens’ James Burn 7.6% and Communist Graham Stevenson on 4.4%.
