Here is a brief break down of the traffic that has been recorded on the W&E canal in the first six months of this year.

This is the best judgement I can make. The statistics have been provided by Narrow Boaters, members of the public and my own eyes!
• Currently the BCN Cruise has used the moorings on two occasions this year 2016
• 111 persons have stayed overnight at moorings in Bentley Bridge Wednesfield.
• Estimated that £11,000 has been spent by Boaters in our economy in the first 6 months of 2016.

Currently it is estimated that 102 Narrow-boats movements have taken place on the Wyrley & Essington canal. If you have any information relating to your own movements or moorings. I would be happy to receive them.

This is in stark contrast to the CRT statistic in 2007 when they reported that just 50 boat movements had taken place. Most certainly now is the fact that boaters are visiting Wednesfield and travelling on our magnificent canal in greater numbers. This in turn is helping the Local Economy.
