Councillor Phil Bateman said ” I want residents in Wednesfield North to have this latest information I have received following a briefing, over the week end.
In Wolverhampton, approximately 45,800 residents have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The rollout of the vaccine is being primarily led by NHS and the Local Authority is working closely with Wolverhampton Care Commissioning Group and local GPs to support with delivery of vaccines.
A vaccination offer has now been made to all individuals within the City and the top 4 priority groups as advised by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
All eligible care home residents have now been vaccinated (except for any sites with current outbreaks) and all residents who are over 80 have now received an offer to be vaccinated. 90% of residents in the over 80 age group have now received their first dose of the vaccine. Vaccinations continue to be administered at one of 25 GP-led vaccination services, vaccination centres and several local pharmacies in the region.”
I do hope that this information is the sort of information you want during the current pandemic. #working4wednesfield
