A Royal Visit to Wednesfield 1962! Come & See

Wednesfield History Society is a newish organisation that has been active in Wednesfield  for a number of years now. It is a vibrant organisation that has done much to throw a spotlight on Local history and historic events that have taken place here in our ancient Village.

Today Wednesday 24th May 2017 at 2.15 another such event is taking place at Wednesfield Library, in Well Lane Wednesfield.

The Society is putting on an exhibition that took place in 1962 when Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth the Second visited the Village.

It is likely to be a really important exhibition, and the Society would like to invite residents to come and take a look, watch a film taken at the time, spot family and friends!

The Exhibition comes about as the Society works with the City Library Service, and the City Archives.

Come along and take a look – Enjoy your mediaeval Village’s more  recent history
