Late yesterday afternoon I discovered this British mammal hiding in the lush green of my small back garden! I must say I was delighted to see such a full sized Hedgehog alive and active here in Wednesfield North.
I haven’t seen a live adult Hedgehog for a few years.
I expect he has fattened up along the Wyrley & Essington Canal which itself is on the verge of being declared a Local Nature Reserve , and then pushed just a little further into gardens. I left him in peace after just getting enough of a glimpse to get this photograph. I just hope he remains safe and returns to my garden again sometime in the future.
