Anger at Drinkers- Who use the Local Nature Reserve for Dump!

It makes you angry and it makes you sad in almost equal proportions.

There are hardcore drinkers who drink their alcohol around the Perry Hall bridge and Lichfield Road Bridge, on the Wyrley and Essington Canal, then launch their empties into the hedge or into the canal.

It is a disgrace. The Wyrley and Essington is a popular walk for families, its the City’s newest Local Nature Reserve. It is being treated with no respect what so ever.

I want to thank the ‘Good Samaritan’s, that collected three bags of empty tins and bottles, and placed them by the bin on Perry Hall bridge, over this last week end.

Surely people who use this local nature reserve for this type of anti social behaviour, could deposit their empty containers in the bin on the top of the bridges – surely its not too much to ask?
