Ashmore Park Nursery- Forty Five Years of Serving Our Community!

I am very proud of the terrific education we give children at Ashmore Park Nursery School here in Ashmore Park.

I am the current Chairman of The Governing Body, and I have been for many years. This year we are in our ‘Sapphire Year’ – 45 years since the school was first opened. Forty five years of great service to our Community. We will be celebrating this, with some further exciting news over the coming weeks. So keep a watchful eye open to our announcements.

The School is a real beacon of excellence in my eyes, so much innovatory work is being undertaken, and the outcomes are for all to see. The School under the current Leadership of Sue Lacy Headteacher, has recently been awarded the  top Ofsted ranking of ‘Outstanding.’

IMG_6048 Ashmore Park Nursery Outstanding schoolThe school has achieved this major award from Ofsted, not for the first time, but for three School Inspections ‘on the trot!’  This is a remarkable achievement by itself.

But the truth is that the School is educating children ‘remarkably’ every day of their school year. The staff are excellent, well trained and very innovative. The strength of the school lies not with the attractive buildings and well thought out facilities it has.

The ‘Outstanding’ education is delivered at the school because of the team of people the School  employs, the Leadership team,  teachers, and the educators. They all come with first rate skills and a willingness to improve the lives of all their pupils. All the staff and the educators who work in the Nursery are seen to be key workers in this endeavour, to supply our Community with the very best education for our children. All of our staff at every level they are employed at, all buy into the school ethos.

This year we are in our ‘Sapphire Year’ 45 years since the school has opened. Forty five years of great service to our Community. Yet the School is still innovating.

Many people will not be aware that the Ashmore Park Nursery School with the support of its Governor’s, have launched Ashmore Park Professional Learning Environment (We call it APPLE for short!).This initiative is aimed at training teachers. We see the project as a way  continue to develop teachers training skills.

During the early part of this year the School launched two events around the Ashmore Park Learning Environment. These events were very well attended by representatives from many local schools as well as schools from outside of Wolverhampton.

Ashmore Park Nursery through APPLE are very pleased with this bespoke training service and we are aiming to develop it further going forward. We will be celebrating this, with some further exciting news over the coming period. So keep a watchful eye open for all our announcements.

I do hope the Community can be as proud of our Nursery School as I am.
