In recent weeks I have received neighbour complaints about the bungalow construction/ developments in Bayliss Avenue.
I can inform you that I contacted the city Council planning officers following the comments.
They have spoken to the developers regarding these issues: parking on the pavement and the grass verges and other issues. The development is a difficult one for them as the space to work is rather constrained.
I understand that the developers will endeavour to park in a less obstructive place, on neighbouring streets or on the highway to the frontage.
Any damage to the neighbouring highway, will be rectified, which was already part of the plan, as they worked out off the site.
The bungalows are nearly up now, and the construction part of the development can be seen taking shape.
As I state the site is a very small one for the work being undertaken. I would hope that residents will take some comfort that there is monitoring taking place and there is contact between the company and the City Officials.
