Big day today in Wednesfield!
We have the new Co-Op shop opening in Ashmore Park, plus we shall also have the switching on of the Christmas lights in Wednesfield High Street.
This is a great day for our community.
The Christmas Lights have been funded by generous donations following the innovative Crowd Sourcing events organised by volunteers in the Hands on Wednesfield organisation.
I shall be in attendance along with Mary at both events.
I thought the events organised by Hands on Wednesfield last year was just brilliant. But they tell me this years ‘Switching On’ will surpass this event as well! There are more lights, the Signal Radio team and their wacky fun crew will also be there. Besides other surprises. Plus there is a choir services that precedes the main event.
I like Christmas and I hope that the day starts the Christmas count down for our community with some very big smiles and lots of laughter!
