Breaking News- Post Office Branch Woodend!

I have been speaking with Senior Managers at the Post Office about their plans for the future.

Here is what the Post Office tells me this week.

“Dear Councillor Bateman, We are interviewing a potential new operator for the branch next week, and if successful, we will then launch consultation on the proposal and begin preparations for restoring Post Office services in the area.”

I hope residents and constituents can see from this latest round of correspondence, that your Councillors continue to press for the Post Office to re-open, and that the Post Office to be fair seems very keen to re-open a shop selling all their products including the service offered to pensioners.

Please contact me if you have any further queries. I the meantime we will stay close to Post Office Management and report on progress.
