Police Officers investigating a double stabbing in Wolverhampton have arrested a man in the early hours of this morning (June 15). Marcel Mowbray was circulated as wanted by officers late last night as concerns for his welfare grew. He was sought after two people were stabbed at an address in Eastfield Grove at around 1.45pm. The 24-year-old was spotted by officers on patrol just after midnight and arrested in the Bushbury Lane area of Wolverhampton. He remains in custody and will be questioned by detectives later today. A 57-year-old woman was taken to hospital with stab wounds to the neck where she remains in a critical condition, while a 55-year-old man was also admitted with non-life threatening injuries to his back.

A full investigation is underway into the attack which is not believed to have been random but was a domestic assault on family members. Anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information about it should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
