Day two of our festival to raise the interest in The Wyrley & Essington canal at Bentley Bridge was a lot gentler than yesterday, when around a 1400 people over an 8 hour period enjoyed the tranquility of our canal, the tow paths, the wild life, trading with Half a Shilling narrow boat, and the spectacular live music show! Today was a little gentler but we still had a couple of hundred people come down and chat about the Local Nature Reserve proposals , and Half a Shilling continued to trade well joined today by Senior Moments selling garden furniture and Narrow Boat wares.
It has been a great couple of days in all and the canal fest supported by Hands on Wednesfield and Creative Black Country has been I think a great success, providing fun and recreation to Wednesfield residents all for free! #workinghard4wednesfield
