Christmas Is A Time for Giving!

do%20computer%20centre-school-in-indiaDuring the course of our Mayoralty way back in 2005/6 we raised a decent sum for charity, in fact it was the best part of £30,000. We split the amount between the Children’s Ward at New Cross, Men’s Testicular Cancer, and Divine Onkar a Wolverhampton based Charity delivering help for the poor of India.

One of the projects the monies went to support was a School & Clinic in India – Whilst the spelling was perhaps not quite right for Wolverhampton, I feel really proud of the fact that we have made a little contribution to those that perhaps are a little less fortunate than we are.

Christmas is a time for giving and as it approaches Mary and I are filling our money boxes for The Children’s Society. They do great work for children.
