Recovered to be given COVID -19 ‘immunity certificates’
Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said that people who test positive for coronavirus antibodies will be given “immunity certificates” to allow them to leave lockdown and return to normal life.
However, he cautioned that the necessary tests might not be introduced for some time, as none has yet obtained approval from Public Health England. Mr Hancock also vowed to ensure 100,000 coronavirus tests are being carried out daily in England by the end of April.
Yesterday’s official figures showed that a further 56 people had suffered COVID-19-linked deaths, taking the total number in Britain to have died to 2,921
