I have had a strong complaint from Corpus Christi Social FC who have explained that they play league games on Ashmore Park, they pay for the pitch by the bottom shops. This is what the complainant wrote to me saying
“Hi Phil Corpus Christi fc , after a few weeks off due to bad weather we had a game last Sunday over Ashmore park playing fields ( bottom pitch ) but i was shocked how much dog mess was on there.
It took us nearly 1hr to make the pitch playable. We pay for the pitch out of our own pocket so could you please address this situation.”
Dog owners have a legal duty to collect the dog pooh after their pets have stooped. It is a fact that dog owners nearly always wak their dogs. Loose running dogs are not that common these days. So it is highly likely that the owners were present when their dogs dumped on the football pitch.
Its not good and its not fair, and worst of all its against the law now to let your dog dump without picking it up!

I shall inform the City Council, and I have no doubt that they will take legal action if you do not clean up after your pet!
