Residents in Ferguson Street Ashmore Park have been concerned for sometime about a garage that has had the lock forced on a number of occasions lately, and been open to anti social behaviour.
Today I have contacted the owners of the Garage Site – Wolverhampton Homes because of a discovery made this morning of barrels and drums of unknown chemicals that have appeared over night. I want to reassure residents that the Officials have acted quickly and like me have visited the site, as I expected they would and this is what they have said.
I have now received the following confirmation – “Wolverhampton Homes Estate Services have attended site this afternoon and secured the Void garage. An order has been raised with an approved contractor to remove all containers from the garage – it is anticipated that this will be completed on Monday 16th November 2015.”
I do hope that the residents will take comfort from this and I hope both Wolverhampton Homes and the Police keep a close eye on similar locations.
