Happy Christmas -Wednesfield North!

Wednesfield North City Councillors – Rita Potter, Mary Bateman, and Phil Bateman want to wish all our residents, and their families, a Happy and Safe Christmas!

A lot has gone on this year, that has never happened before in many of our lifetimes. We are hoping that 2021 will be a much better year than 2020 has been.

Here is a quick update of the Covid-19 information as it relates to the City of Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton will remain subject to Tier 3 Covid-19 restrictions over the Christmas period, the Government has said. The Covid-19 infection rate in the city remains high, with 267 cases per 100,000 people for the week leading up to 14 December. This is compares to 243 cases per 100,000 people for the week leading up to 7 December.

The region moved into Tier 3 – the highest level of restrictions – when the second national lockdown ended earlier this month and, following the first fortnightly review, the Government has recently announced that these measures will remain in place for at least another two weeks. A further review will take place on 30 December.

Please Stay Safe Everyone!
