HOW to Produce a Wednesfield Art Trail!

‘Hands on Wednesfield’ a community group here in Wednesfield, are to announce an ‘Art Trail’ on the 24th October for Wednesfield. This is an important development for me.

We need to talk up our history , our Art, and our other achievements!

We have some great walks for instance and we have important architecture and points of interest. All of which needs to become better known.

Mary and I recently walked 4.5 miles which linked industrial heritage sites like the Mineral Railway, with ‘The Monarch’s Way’, the 1790’s Wyrley & Essington Canal, and the historic Moat on Ashmore Park. It was a great walk that took us one hour and 35 minutes to do. I do hope our ‘Bateman Walk’ can be linked into one of the ‘walks for health’ that the Hub at Ashmore Park do. Great scenery and wildlife.

So folks I look forward with interest to seeing the Art Trail and the discoveries that exist along it!Viking art

I really do hope that H.O.W  have incorporated the fabulous Viking Longboat that Wednesfield has which so many Wednesfield residents seem oblivious of……..I am sure someone will re-assure me on this.
